Aos amigos Portugueses do Facebook, este é um pedido para que vocês, meus caros, ajudem o Projecto Tchuma Tchato a terminar de construir a Igreja/Centro Comunitário da nossa associada em África, a “Kingdom Life Worship Community Centre,” em Barberton, África do Sul.

No ano de 2012, começámos os trabalhos de construção para finalmente podermos mudar de um barraco de madeira a cair aos bocados (Ver o relatório audio/visual: http://youtu.be/0Q_PQSQg5mQ). Foi-nos possível levantar as paredes numa área de 100m2 dos 200m2 planeados para o edifício. No ano de 2013, preparámos e colocámos os vigamentos e telhado de zinco (Ver o relatório audio/visual: http://youtu.be/qu0UMsSzZqE).

Desta forma metade do edifício ficou terminada, ainda sem acabamentos mas algo que já se poderia utilizar, bastante melhor que o barraco de madeira.

Desde essa altura não conseguimos juntar o resto que será necessário para terminar os trabalhos. Os problemas financeiros que nos têm assolado na Europa e no resto do mundo em geral, juntamente com o ter partido a perna, situação que limitou em muito os esforço de angariação de fundos, tudo fez com que se tornasse impossível continuar segundo os planos.

Agora estarei a viajar para África para mais sete meses, se Deus quiser, e ainda não consegui organizar nada que possibilitasse a continuação dos trabalhos.

Por esse motivo, mais uma vez, através desta plataforma de interacção social, os 246 amigos do Facebook e os seus amigos também, solicito um contributo, o mais pequeno que seja, no intuito de que esta Iniciativa possa ir para a frente.

Se considerarmos apenas 246 pessoas que contribuam, para os €5.000,00 (ou US$6,200.00 ou ZAR67,820.00) que são necessários, isso significaria à volta de €20,00 (ou US$25.00 ou ZAR270.00) a cada um. Vamos que dividam esse valor por 4 meses, terão que guardar cerca de €5,00 (ou US$6.00 ou ZAR67.00) no envelope cada mês durante 4 meses.

Não quer isto dizer que haja algum impedimento se alguém acordar um pouco doido uma manhã e decidir dar uma quantia maior ou até o valor total. Isso seria Deus a fazer através de si e a abençoá-lo por tal acto altruísta estou certo. E se houver preocupação é ler “Lucas 10:35.” A honra de fazer equipa com o Bom Samaritano.

O sucesso desta campanha no Facebook teria um significado muito importante! Porque, agora mesmo estamos numa lista de espera exasperante. O que está feito, por não ter acabamentos, o clima tem um peso maior nas estruturas, o local tem o ar depressivo de inacabado e não conseguimos ministrar às pessoas com eficácia, para que possam encarar a vida com um estado de espírito e aptidões melhoradas.

Anúncio; Os participantes nesta campanha terão também a possibilidade de concorrer e ganhar um prémio de uma viagem ao campo de missão, com alojamento até um mês, para ajudar nos trabalhos no que lhe for possível, conhecer os nossos colegas no campo de missão e interagir com os beneficiários da Iniciativa “De Barraco a Tijolos” (Ver: http://youtu.be/5RO5gPBbZ18?list=PLA975462270E0E4CF). To my facebook English speaking friends, this is a plea in desperation for you dear ones to help The Tchuma Tchato Project in the completion of the Church/Community Centre for our sister church in Africa, the “Kingdom Life Worship Community Centre,” in Barberton, South Africa.

In the year 2012, we were able to start the construction works to finally be able to move from a rundown wooden shack (See audio/visual report: http://youtu.be/0Q_PQSQg5mQ). We were able to setup the walls on 100m2 of the 200m2 designated for the building. In the year 2013, there was the preparation and setting up of the trusses and corrugated iron for the roof (See audio/visual report: http://youtu.be/qu0UMsSzZqE).

So then we had half of the building done, still in the rough but already something much better than the wooden shack.

Since then we haven’t been able to gather the necessary funds to continue the works. The financial troubles that have befallen most of us in Europe and the rest of the world in general, with my breaking a leg which limited a lot the fund raising efforts, made it impossible to continue as planned.

Now I’ll be traveling again to Africa for another 7 months, God willing, and still haven’t been able to organize anything that will permit the continuation of the building.

So I’m again addressing this platform of social networking, the 246 facebook friends and their friends as well, for a contribution however small to see if this can be carried on.

Now, if we consider just 246 people giving a donation, for the €5.000,00 (or US$6,200.00 or ZAR67,820.00) needed, that would mean roughly €20,00 (or US$25.00 or ZAR270.00) each. Let’s say you divide that amount by 4 months and you get to toss €5,00 (or US$6.00 or ZAR67.00) in the envelope every month for 4 months.

Of course there is no prejudice against if somebody wakes up crazy generous one morning and decides to toss in a bigger donation of even the whole amount. The success of this facebook campaign would mean a great deal! Right now we are on a desperate standby. What is done is not getting better because it’s in the rough, the weather takes a heavier toll on the structures, the place has an unfinished depressing look and we’re not able to effectively carry on the real work of ministering to the people with what we do, enabling them to face life in a better frame of mind, spirit and skills.

Announcement; The participants in this campaign will also become eligible for a raffle which will have as prize, a trip and lodging, for however time up to a month, to the mission site where this Initiative is taking place, be able to participate in what’s going on, meet the missionary colleagues on the field and interact with the recipients of the Initiative “From Shack to Bricks” (See: http://youtu.be/ATqis2RAqDk?list=PLA975462270E0E4CF).
